Terms of Use

Welcome to Connect! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Connect mobile application ("App") provided by TechyKoala ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Connect, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Connect, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Connect is a conversation card game application designed to help users have meaningful conversations with friends, family, and partners. The App provides:

• Curated conversation questions across various categories
• Multiple game modes for different social settings
• AI-powered question generation (Spark Mode)
• Custom deck creation
• Social features for sharing and messaging

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you may need to create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Subscription Plans

Connect offers optional subscription plans (Basic, Premium, Premium+) that provide access to additional features. Subscription details, including pricing and features, are displayed in the App.

4.2 Billing

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account. Payment will be charged at confirmation of purchase.

4.3 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Share content that is offensive, harmful, or inappropriate
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Use automated systems or bots to access the App
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. User Content

You may create custom decks, share cards, and send messages within the App ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your User Content as necessary to provide the App's services.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all necessary rights to share it.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, graphics, questions, and features, is owned by TechyKoala and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App's content without permission
• Use our trademarks or branding without authorization
• Create derivative works based on the App

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The App will meet your specific requirements
• AI-generated content will be accurate or appropriate

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TECHYKOALA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.

Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately, and we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Denmark.
